The engine starts faster and seems to have a bit more power. I should have matched the ignition to the Flamethrower coil along time ago. I replaced the points ignition system on my 1971 Mustang with the Pertronix 91281 Ignitor II in April 2016. This ignitor works beautifully and the vehicle started and ran wonderfully. I decided to add the Flamethrower ignition coil a few months later and it started better than ever.PERTRONIX POINTLESS IGNITION TURNED OUT TO BE JUST THAT - A VERY PIONTLESS EXERCISE IN FUSTRATION. The module had intermittent failure after just 1500 miles. Before contacting them I went through all standard ignition trouble shooting protocols. I have been building performance cars for 38 years.
